SAY NO TO POLLUTION & YES TO RECYCLE The Responses according to the survey were as follows, 45.2% were female while 54.8 were male. Majority of the responses came from the rural population as opposed to urban set up. The larger population 59.5 % disposes their wastes in their home gardens whereas another 35.7% use other means of waste disposal methods. 4.8% use more than one method of garbage disposal. According to the Survey: Solid wastes is the most disposed waste at 66.7%, followed by Recyclable waste at 23.8 % , then Liquid wastes at 7.1% and lastly hazardous wastes at 2.4 %. Majority of the respondents said that they dispose the wastes so as to keep the environment clean while a few said that they dispose the wastes so as to get rid of it after use. 50% of the respondents dispose their wastes weekly, 47.6% dispose daily while 2.4 %monthly. 73.8 % of organic Waste is generated with this being the highest number of waste generated by the respondents ...
